Carl Sommer has written a great series of Children's Books,
that I am proud we offer within the review center. This is a
series that will enable parents to equip their children with
the character, values and virtues they wish to have displayed
within their children, but will not see if left to the current
status symbols to instill within them.
I thought it would be interesting to take a closer look at this
author, and see where he has come from and where he is
today. By having a sneak peak at Carl's background, we can
gain a sense of admiration for both his talent & his passion.
Carl Sommer is a former Marine, a successful businessman,
an educator and the author of the children's series "Another
Sommer-Time Story". Married to his beautiful wife, for now
51 years, with 5 children and 14 grandchildren. Carl is both
successful and qualified in sharing with students, the principles
for being a success in society and in life.
Mr. Sommer has appeared on radio and television programs, including the Oprah show. He has also served on the Texas State Board of Education Review Committee. He has also
been nominated for International Writer of the Year, by the
International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England.
Carl has taught in New York as a regular high school teacher and as a substitute teacher at every grade level. He has also taught internationally.
Following his passion, he has authored over 100 children's
books. His books and read-alongs have won numerous awards: Children's Choice Award, Teachers' Choice Award, Benjamin Franklin Award, and the iParenting
Media Award, and more. Many of Carl's books have been translated into foreign languages.
Mr. Sommer has also authored two phonics literature-based reading program called Reading Success for adults and Reading Adventure for children.
He also authored Number Success: a math series, covering
everything from addition to trigonometry. This is a
DVD/Book set.
Carl's book Character Under Attack and What You Can
Do About was birthed out his concern for the lack of
character found in America today. A copy of this book
was sent to every elementary school in the United States.
He continues to write and develop educational materials in Houston, Texas. His publishing company, Advance Publishing, will soon be releasing four more Another Sommer-Time Story Books Classic Series. They are also producing Story Lesson Videos and bilingual versions in Spanish for all 24 Another Sommer-Time storybooks.
Advance Publishing's mission statement reveals Sommer's passion and purpose: 'Providing exciting and inspiring

with positive virtues and life skills, which enable
them to live successful lives, and results in stronger families,
better schools, and a safer and more productive society.'
With his excellent health, and love of writing, Carl has no
plans for retirement.
