Simply set it up, use the focus settings to get a clear, crisp image, put on a pair of the 3D glasses that come with it, turn on the CD and then sit back and enjoy the space tour of a lifetime. Children 9 and above should have no problem operating the 3D Space Projector on their own, but under the age of 9 we recommend adult assistance. Chalk this one up as a whole lot of fun! Maybe this is how the name CHALK FUN came into being. A GREAT product we cannot get enough of. Our kids have had so much fun with this set, from the moment it arrived. They truly cannot get enough! They have been chalk crazed for a few days now.
With this kit, By LIFE OF THE PARTY, kids create their own chalk, using the mixture provided within the kit. Then they place it into the mold of their choice and leave it to dry. When they return, they now have their own, personalized chalk, created by their own hands. Now they can find the closest sidewalk, and create their own designs there! Instead of just having lines drawn in the sidewalk, if they use the press and smudge (grind/turn) technique my kids did, they can get the impression of their molded creation for all to experience in color. It is not a perfect depiction but close enough they can identify it as their ladybug or dragonfly. Of course, they can use it as normal chalk too, to make their own designs as they would with a normal stick of chalk. However, knowing they made this chalk, adds to the fun of using it. The kit comes with everything included to make 8 jumbo sized chalk cubes. That is a lot of chalk and enough to last for hours of outdoor play. Even in the cold weather we have been having, they bundle up and head out to use it. This is a definite winner! Life Of The Party is showing a great taste in kits they offer. Christian Kids Explore Biology, by Bright Ideas Press, offers an unequivocal approach to science for children in grades 3-6, though it can be scaled down to fit all elementary aged children.
Written in a very teaching friendly manner, this book offers a full year of science curriculum from a christian perspective. Very appropriate for Christian Schools, Home Schools or add on learning activities for at home use. Highly recommended for those who use the classical approach to education. This curriculum includes 35 lessons containing teaching lessons, coloring pages, memorization lists, hands on activities, reviews, writing assignments, ideas for at home activities and field trips and also includes a supplemental book list. While this curriculum gives a full disclosure of information for the lessons being taught, it does not inundate the student with so much added information that is becomes overwhelming. They will be well versed in the topic, but still interested when they are finished. This is not always the case with science curriculum. Bright Ideas also offers an online bulletin board for those who use this curriculum, to share ideas and approaches in teaching with this wonderful tool. By rewarding the good behavior and the following of commands, canines learn to do what is requested of them easily and without fear or threat. Negative feedback is not used, as bad behavior is simply ignored.
This training method shows you how to click your way to your happiness and your dog's obedience. As they get "closer" to the objective or goal, you click the clicker, as if you are saying " you are getting warmer " ... If they move away, you simply do not click. Then when they meet the goal, you click and reward them with a treat. Consistency is the key with any training method, and so it is with Clicker Training. You must repeat the action over and over until they meet your request before you have even asked it of them. Once they firmly have the clicker method down, you then mix in voice commands or hand signals. Combining these with the clicker, will lead your canine to remarkable response times and will make of your pet a fine companion that you can be proud of. The DVD comes with a clicker, so you will be all set to follow the examples you watch on the DVD. The photographer films children from the ages of 5 on up, interacting with puppies from 8 weeks to 5 months old. Some of these dogs have never had any form of training prior, others have received multiple sessions of other methods of training. All show equal levels of progress in learning the clicker method and all respond quickly and very well. It is a fun DVD to watch, even though it is meant to teach you. The pups are so cute and the children interacting with them is entertaining to watch. Using Science based information, as well as imagination, these songs have been crafted to be a lot of fun, and thought provoking. These songs share everything from where the dinosaurs lived, to what they ate. Some of the songs share conversations between dinosaurs, some are set to a narrators song version of what life as a dinosaur may have been like ... Each song is unique in style and lessons taught, but each is equally compelling and fun. Many of them have finger snapping beats, such as jingle bells (which is now Hey, Duck Bills!), and Deck The Halls (which is now Deck The Halls With Stegosaurus). Voice clarity and even tones, make the performers each stand out as they share the songs with the listener. One of the voices sounded to us as though he had walked out of the Lion King movie. All done in a very creative way, that embraces the subject with passion and loyalty. The poem at the end is a real treat. A twist to The Night Before Christmas ... this one will be enjoyed by the whole family, and you won't have to wait for Christmas for it to be fun. Give your holidays a new twist, and join the Duck Bills, Brachiosaur, Pliosaur, Pterodactyl, Dryosaur, Raptor and more, on this fun journey into the ancient past, through the medium of music. I have never heard an even similar remake - this is a unique piece of work that has earned its place in the music world. Children ages 4 and up should love this. What a great addition to dinosaur studies in homeschool environments, and in public schools. Add this as a special touch to your class dinosaur studies and watch the faces in the room light up, and they can easily and quickly relate to the tunes and will quickly pick up on the fun new twist they are hearing. We all learn the words to the songs we listen to. When children learn the words of these songs, they will then be learning more about the creatures being told of in the song. Though the songs are done to the tunes of Christmas Carols, they can be enjoyed again and again, year round. The songs literally bring the dinosaurs to life in front of your imagination. The detail they have been able to add, is terrific. You can picture the settings and the characters, as the singers share their wonderful stories set to music. Highly recommended video, that should be seen by every child. John Walsh from Americas Most Wanted has teamed up with Julia Clark from the Baby Einstein Company to produce this great film. On their website they offer not only a video trailer, but they also offer downloads for parents and teachers to use for open discussions on this topic at school and at home. In a day and age when you see another child abducted every time you turn on the tv, I cannot stress the importance of films such as this to empower and encourage our children to be aware of their surroundings and to act carefully, thoughtfully and quickly should they be approached.
