American Art Bingo |
Company: | Lucy Hammett Games |
|
Kids love Bingo! Now they can subtly learn about the history of American Art
and the Artists behind it, through this fun game of Bingo. The Bingo cards
depict beautiful artwork by the various artists and these are what one matches
when playing.
By combining play with learning, children enjoy the experience, rather than dreading it. This is a great way to enhance their cultural experience and gives them an up close look at the precious artwork our country is famous for. This is great for home, at grandma's house, school, homeschool and preschools. A nice way to add to your art history classroom, or to just add a taste of art history to your home environment. Children and adults can play together, and enjoy the experience and the time together. A nicely packaged game, that is not only fun to play, but beautiful to experience. <<<- (2006) RETURN TO TOP |

'Bouta Face |
Company: | Grape Games |
|
A new twist and a new fun card game, to be enjoyed by the whole family.
This game, 'Bouta Face, is engaging, easy, and enjoyable for all ages.
No one will have the upper hand due to age in this game. In fact, if
you claim old age disparity, like I do, you may actually be at a disadvantage ...
(smile).
Simple rules - no reading skills needed - a whole lotta fun! WHAT IS IT? 'Bouta Face is a card game. In the deck you have 55 unique cards. There are 11 different faces displayed. Each card has a different set of faces on front / back. Using memory and logic, players take turns matching the cards from their match row, with cards in other players' hands. The one with the most matches wins the game. Not your ordinary memory / match game - but a lot of fun! WHO WILL ENJOY THIS PRODUCT? 1-4 players or two teams will have fun playing this game, no matter what the ages. It is simple to learn and hard to stop playing. The facial expressions add to the humor of the game. FOOTNOTES: This game combines memory and logic/skill. Each player is dealt 4 cards to begin. The remaining cards are placed in the draw pile. When your turn starts you will draw a card and then place one card from your hand in your own MATCH ROW. When you place a card in the MATCH ROW, be sure to remember what is on the other side of it (face down side), as you will not be allowed to peek at it again, until to try to make a match. From round two on, you may either draw a card or try to make a match. To make a match you draw a card from another players hand, to match with the face on one of your cards. (Here is where you will need to remember what is on the other side of your card) Should you be correct - YOU WIN THE PAIR ... But if you OOPS!, the pair of cards go to the opponent. Once all matches have been made, and all cards have been played, the winner is the one with the most pairs. As you can see, it is not a hard set of rules but can be a challenge to win! Grab a deck and have fun with your friends and family, playing a game that the youngest players can play with the oldest players, and all enjoy just as much! <<<- (2006) RETURN TO TOP |

Not recommended for the weary hearted! This is a stumper of a puzzle, that may
be a quick one to solve for a few, but for most of us will take a while.
Which was the purpose behind elogIQ creating this great brain teaser. When I first pulled it out, I saw 4 circles. Well, with so few playing pieces, it seemed as though it would have to be pretty easy to solve. NOT SO! Those 4 pieces consist of 20 playing pieces, 5 colors, 4 of each color. That said, it makes for millions of possible positions, all being incorrect except for one. I am a lover of puzzles, and this one took me a bit to figure out. It reminded me of the Rubiks cube when it first came out, how it stumped us all and then the light came on! This is not the hardest puzzle I have ever tackled, but it is far from being the simplest. It is truly one to get for those who love puzzles and love a small challenge. Once you get the hang of it, you will be able to complete this puzzle in about 20 steps. However, reaching this point, where you feel you have a handle on it will take a bit. For those who enjoy puzzles using spheres and colors, you will not be disappointed. <<<- (2006) RETURN TO TOP |

Dinner Games & Activities |
Company: | Family Time Fun |
|
Dinner Time in America has lost some of its closeness in families.
There was a time when every meal consisted of every family member
sitting around the table, eating and sharing together. Today, more
and more families have moved from this traditional setting and have
begun eating dinner in the living room, alone one by one, or on the run.
If you are looking for a fun way to keep the intrigue in dinner time, and keep the family wanting to come to the table, here is a great way! Family Time Fun offers 51 games in a box - all prepared for the family dinner. Great for ages 5 to adult, this game has cards in multiple categories. They add a bit of learning (to make the parents feel good) but add a LOT of fun! Now families can share fun, stories, thoughts, and laughter - all at the nightly dinner table. While not every group of family members will prefer the same games made available, every family will find their own selection of favorites, as they spend the next 51 dinner times exploring all there is to choose from. The only thing to remember is when playing this game at the dinner table, you may have to remind everyone to eat! FOOTNOTES: A game example: Counting Moo - In this game you go around the table counting. Odd numbers as said normally - even numbers are extracted and replaced with a MOO ... Example (one, moo, three, moo, five, moo, etc.) The person who misses a moo takes a drink of milk and the game continues. Another example: Time For Tunes - In this game one person hums a tune - everyone else tries to guess what they are humming. The first one to get it correct, goes next. I highly recommend this game for every family. Sharing fun and laughter together is so needed in our families and in our society. Take some time out to just hang out and have some fun, sharing some good food, good fun, and good laughter. This will most likely become a fast family tradition, and a favored childhood memory for your children. Thank you Family Time Fun, for bringing some good fun into our family time. <<<- (2006) RETURN TO TOP |

For The Record Rock & Roll Trivia Game 80's |
Company: | Reed Enterprises |
|
What I personally love about this game, is it allows those my age, to share their
favorite music of all times, with their kids. Being able to show them the music
we loved - and allowing them to see why we loved it so much, helps to bridge the generation gap that is so prevalent when it comes to music.
To listen to the music from the 80's and 90's and compare it with what you hear today can be shocking. Country music has stayed about the closest to how it used to be, but even it has changed dramatically when it comes to the topics it focuses on. Rock music has taken on such a change that even evolution theories would not work in trying to figure out how it got to where it is today. Now we can go back in time and remember when ... and we can see how much we remember about those days, by playing a good game of "For The Record" Trivia. WHAT IS IT? A trivia game, offering 600 Q&A cards in different categories, to equalize the playing field for all participants. Rap, Raggae, Alternative, Country, Pop, Punk, you name it ... Everyone will have a chance to share their music knowledge. If you love trivia, or you love music, you will love this game. They have included multiple choice answers, which you can use or choose not to use, depending on skill level and how much you want to compete with your friends. The gameboard is unique in that it is in the shape of a guitar. The images on the board are common pics from the 80's and 90's scene, so it helps you to go back in time, by setting the tone. Moving around the board will determine the questions you answer, by where you land. The toughest ones we found to land on were "One Hit Wonder" and "Real Names" .. These will really tap your thinking cap! The game takes about 45 minutes to play, depending on how involved everyone gets ... A fun game that combines challenge and skill with pure luck! WHO WILL ENJOY THIS PRODUCT? 2-4 Players or teams - Ages 12 and up. Any group of people who has anyone of any age who enjoyed the music of the 80's and 90's will greatly enjoy this game. FOOTNOTES: We had a blast playing this with our friends. When we played with the kids, they had more fun laughing AT us than with us! Seeing all of us "OLD" people trying to remember who sang what and when ... Oh my! But we all had a blast sharing the laughs and going back in time for a few minutes together. <<<- (2006) RETURN TO TOP |

This is a fun, challenging game that is great for families or groups of friends.
With 12 fun categories and over 7,000 challenges, get ready, get set, GO have fun! The bright red LCD printout spins and comes to life, as you guess the answer. Be careful! It may be a tough one! We found quite a few stumpers along the way. This makes for a whole new way to have fun, and everyone will be enjoying it as soon as it comes out of the box. It takes 4 AA batteries, is recommended for 4 players, and is best suited for ages 8 thru adult. There are 6 different games you may choose from, making this a total riot. Just when you get the hang of one, they inevitably change it on you, and you are off again. Well worth the time and pennies and a sure bet for new found fun! We enjoyed this one greatly and know you will too. <<<- (2006) RETURN TO TOP |

A new twist on Labyrinth ... Now you will balance not only the marble, but your values, ideas, beliefs, principles ... against the other players.
This game encourages and challenges your dexterity both in thought and hand/eye coordination. A great combination that is challenging enough to grab the attention of the players, and invoking enough to gain great communication at the table for hours. This game can be played by 2-8 players. To win the game, you must be the first to earn 100 points. To do this you move around the labyrinth with your marble, as in the original game. However, this is where the rules change from what you have seen in Labyrinth before. Once your marble falls into the hole, and you collect the points for that circle, you then choose a card from the corresponding color card pile. Once you have picked up the card, the timer is set into play and all players have the opportunity to write their response to the thought invoking question on the card. The person chosen as the one with the most "LEVEL MINDED" response, gets the points for that round. Complete with cards, pencils, playing paper, sand timer, labyrinth board made of wood and the cards for the level chosen. This is a great game for families, classrooms, day camps, or party groups. Adults or children can play and all will enjoy it. It is a great ice breaker and gets people thinking and talking! We greatly enjoyed this game and I most appreciated the way it combines the Labyrinth fun, with the fun of seeing the family begin opening up about things we had never thought to discuss before, and doing so in a fun and engaging manner that everyone enjoyed. I would highly recommend this game! <<<- (2006) RETURN TO TOP |
