The BOPPY 5 - IN - 1 FUN activity gym is AWESOME!
Used as an activity gym this set is the jungle theme. The links hook into the hoops at all different levels, so it can grow with baby and their reach. The toys that come with it are made by SASSY, so you know they can be highly trusted. The toys can be removed easily, and played with separate from the Boppy 5-in-1. They are all three teething rings and a couple of them make rattle sounds as well - the third can be twisted and turned for added fun.
When baby is not interested in using it as a gym, you can use this as a nursing pillow, a baby stabilizer, to help them sit up on their own, or remove the toys with the links and hook them to the crib or carseat, for added fun. This versatility makes this a remarkably well priced activity gym, that you will enjoy, as will your infant. Once baby can sit up, roll over, and crawl around, the bars should be removed for safety. However, purchasing this while baby is tiny allows for a great time filler, during those long months when baby is not yet able to do much, but still wants to be entertained. This toy teaches baby to entertain himself, and will advance their hand and eye coordination, and other motor skills. The bars have hoops from top to the bottom side, so the toys may be moved periodically to give them a new place to find them. This helps their cognitive skills, as they play hide and seek with their toys and reap the reward of fun play when they find where they are hung this time. Baby's love to crawl on boppy's as well. This is great to teach them hand and knee useage, and prepare them for crawling and climbing. Play time with any toy should always be when there is an adult to supervise. Remember ALL toys and stuffed animals should be out of the crib when baby goes to bed. The rabbit ear end is not the one that is loved by my infant, eventhough it is cute and I am sure most babies would find it a lot of fun. This end is made for cheek rubbing and cuddling with for comfort. The rabbit ears are attached solidly and will not come loose, even if tugged on for the life of the blankie. The ears are long enough that they are easy to grasp and babies will enjoy being able to drag the blankie around by pulling on the ears. What my baby enjoys is the other end, with knots to grab onto and chew on! THIS was/is a hit! The knots make it easy to hold on to, and are great for those teething times when baby just wants someone to chew on for comfort and soothing and gum stimulation and massage. It is also great for baby to grab onto when they want to soothe themself to sleep. When it comes to naptime or bedtime, bring on the BUDDY BLANKIES! As the hand grasps the blankie, at the knots, those little eyes start to close, as we snuggle in for sleeptime. If the BUDDY BLANKIES drops, LOOKOUT! Those eyes are back open! | MOMMY MOMENT: Having a special toy or blanket for baby to use as a form of security can be great. This can offer added comfort when you are away from your home environment and offer a soothing remedy for baby. However, one thing I learned as a new mom - always be sure to have TWO copies of their favorite toy / blanket. I say this because if it needs washed, they will be lost without it... and if you happen to forget it somewhere or lose it ... you will be sorry if you do not have a second one to give to them. |

The Caterpillar Mobile by SASSY is darling. Baby enjoys having this together as a mobile, and apart as several different toys in one. The Velcro attachment pieces make it easy to put it together as a mobile, or separate to use as individual toys.
When together, this serves as a mobile for those on the go. The suction cup on the base allows you to connect it to the window of the car, so baby has a fun toy to play with in route. It also works great on strollers, in the highchair, etc. Anywhere baby goes, Caterpillar Mobile can go too. When baby pulls on one of the characters, it will retract when they let go, and bounce back. This makes for curiosity and excitement in an infant and will encourage more interactivity with the toy. The bright colors and different sounds are greatly enjoyed. The turtle also has a mirror, so baby can enjoy looking at himself, when in play mode. All babies enjoy faces, be it their own or someone elses. Now they can combine this with a full range of other activities with this one reasonably priced mobile. Crinkles, chimes and rattles are all found in this one set. The materials are soft, and can be easily cleaned if they become soiled. This mirror can be attached to the side of the crib or use the sandwich board feature to stand it on the ground for floor time play. One side offers toys attached with velcro, including those that crinkle, rattle and a chewing toy. This is the side that features the mirror as well. Then, turn it over and you can place a large photo of baby or another person or object for her to enjoy. This makes it great for personalizing it for the little one it is intended for. This is a very soft toy that will be safe and non toxic even if they decide it is a chew toy. It will be enjoyed for many months during baby's curious stages. If set above them, it may fall over on them if the pole is not upright completely, and the base is not heavy but not something you want landing on their head. This is one I suggest for any new parent. Your baby will love it, and so will you! The music it plays is soothing and not loud. This makes it perfect for play when baby is getting tired, as the music will lull them to sleep once they have finished play time. The movement is slow enough to be enjoyed. The hard plastic material makes it stand up to rough play and the surface is easy to keep clean. Priced right to add to any toy collection, or to give as a gift for the new baby in the family. This musical crib mobile has many great features, some of which you will not find in other mobiles.
The first feature I was impressed with was the three rotating extensions that each have two special creatures on it that each move on their own. This makes for a total of six new friends for your baby to enjoy. They dance slowly around at a great height easy for baby to focus on closely without becoming entangled. The colors used in this mobile are outstanding for very young infants who do not yet focus too well. They will be able to see this clearly enough to enjoy because it is bold and bright. The main center part, the smiling sunshine, sways back and forth as the music plays and the creatures turn. Mr. Sun is very large and cheery. The second impressive feature is the music it offers. There are three choices, which are each soothing and have different rhythmn for baby to enjoy. First there is the latin lullaby, then there is also "Clair de Lune" (a well known classic), and finally Jumpin Jazztime, for a little zesty flair. Once baby is too old to use the mobile, you can easily detach the mobile portion and use the music box in the crib for extended soothing it will bring to baby as he or she grows older. The music box portion offers a volume control, which allows you to totally mute the sound or have it varying degrees up to a quite loud range. The final feature I thought was outstanding and have never before had in previous mobiles I have purchased, is the remote control. The remote control for this unit has a loop for easily attaching it to a door. I personally found it handy to place on my nightstand, so when baby would begin to come awake, I simply press the button for the music of my choice, and he was entertained and soothed, while I was able to gently come awake. Now there is no need to jump out of bed instantly, as baby will enjoy some time listening to the great music and watching the little creatures dance in the sun. Assembly is required, but the detailed instructions are simple to follow. It stands 31" high and requires 3AAA batteries in the remote unit and 3 AA batteries in the base unit. Our first set of batteries were Duracells and they lasted right about a month with a lot of use in this time frame. This allows them the ability to learn to go to sleep on their own and how to get themself back to sleep if they awake in the night. I have always liked rocking them for story and cuddle time, and then when they become sleepy, place them in their crib to go to sleep. |

This is by all aspects a high quality, long lasting, to be treasured and loved toy.
When it came out of the package, my first words were "Ohhhh! How adorable ... AND SOFT!" Baby was to be Miss reviewer, but everyone else in the house had to 'oooo and awww' over it before she got a chance to try it. When she laid eyes on it, she squealed. This means "I want it!" We handed it to her, and she began stroking the fur, letting her fingers mingle in it. You could tell she loved the feel of it. (and rightfully so - my older kids said they want a blanket made of this material, as it feels so warm and soft) When she was done feeling of it, she pulled the bear's head to her face with her hands and was talking to it in baby lingo. I think we have a hit on our hands! Since its arrival, she has played with it faithfully every day. She loves it being with her in the playpen and in her crib. When she falls asleep, sleepy bear is usually by her. One great feature, that as you know, most stuffed animals do not offer, is the fact it is fully machine washable. We had to test this theory, when the bottle leaked on to it. It came through terrific, with no sign of wear. It appeared as new. The body of the Sleepy Cuddler is flat, not filled with cushion like you would find in a typical stuffed animal. This makes it perfect when they wish to snuggle with it at bed time. The face is a sleepy expression, and has very tender facial features, which is one of the appealing aspects to the little one who loves it. The Sleepy Cuddler comes in many animal designs and colors. You can choose from puppies, horses, frogs, giraffes, or a blue bear if you have a boy. The one we reviewed was the pink bear. If you have a child that needs a bedtime buddy, or a take-along-friend, this will be a great hit! Perfect for gift giving, or to surprise your little one at home. When combining the great features of the look, durability, softness, washability, and appeal, I would rate this toy a 12 out of 10 stars. It truly is delightful and was a great joy to review. | MOMMY MOMENT: Some claim it is beneficial to allow a baby to cry themself to sleep. I personally do not practice this with my own children. If they are just "fussing" for a few minutes, okay. However, if they actually begin to cry hard, I will pick them up, rock them and try again in a few minutes. I figure I do not like going to sleep upset, and I am sure she doesn't either. |

If you want to see how flexible a baby can be, and how quickly they can learn where their feet are and how to grab them - Buy TAGGIE TOES! Not only do these booties keep little feet snuggly and warm, they offer both a bunny, and tags to discover. As we all know, babies love faces to look at. Now, those of us who have discovered TAGGIES with our infants, have found they like TAGS just as much. Faces are fun to stare at, and gaze upon - smile at and enjoy. TAGS, on the other hand, are fun to look at, fun to touch, fun to feel, fun to chew on... they are FUN! If your infant is like mine, you may find the booties off of their feet and in their hands and the tags in their mouth, before long. Our little one soon discovered this was possible and made the tags much easier to play with, than when on the feet. This doesn't help keep the toes warm, but it warms the heart to see them playing with something they enjoy so much. Each childs foot size is different. I found these fit our baby from birth to age 4.5 months. After that, they were a bit to snug to slip on - but still a lot of fun to play with. This set is wonderful! What a genius new idea! Giving baby not only warmth and comfort, but enjoyment when playing with the tags. This is great as baby begins to unwind for nap or bed time. They will now lull themself to sleep, while clenching, twisting, and feeling the tags that are so much fun. Those little hands grasp those little tags non-stop! The tags are securely fastened, so you have no worries of them coming undone, in babies hands or mouth. The tags are a satiny feel, and each one is a different color, size, and design. No two tags are alike, so there is much to explore with the eyes and hands. The colors are bright and cheerful, so they are enchanting from the first time they lay eyes on them. The sounds they make, when rubbing them together is a lot of fun to discover too! The fleece, used to make the pillows and blankets, are a soft, SOFT touch. There are many colors and prints to choose from, and each piece can be personalized for a special added touch! One side of the blanket is a solid color, while the other offers a matching print. They are absolutely beautiful and so comfortable you may be tempted to cuddle close yourself. The set comes with a pillow (Pillow Taggie 14x18), a comforter size blanket (Big Taggie 18x18) and a crib size blanket (Crib Taggie 34x45). The company offers this set sold separately, or combined. They also offer other great Taggie items for you to explore and enjoy. My baby enjoys the Crib Taggie to play on. I use it on the floor a lot, for play and relax time. Adding the pillow to floor time is also a hit. While my baby does not use it as a pillow, it was another "toy" to grab that consists of fun taggies to play with. As baby gets older, I will add the pillow to the bed attire, to go along with the Crib Taggie. The Big Taggie is a laptime favorite. The Big Taggie, we use mainly at feeding / nap / lap time. Whether we are rocking to sleep, or reading a book, baby has that Taggie in hand, looking at, and feeling all of the tags there to discover at hands reach. Baby enjoys it as a security blanket. I cuddle baby and baby cuddles Taggie. Even with eyes closed, those little hands are grasping onto the Tags for soothing comfort. The Big Taggie is large enough to be used in the crib, and is also great to take with you during travel or family excursions. It is small enough to fit into your bag, or baby can carry it to enjoy on the way. I am very pleased with this set and baby has only just begun to explore the world of Taggies. I have found my baby seems more fascinated by the tags on the blanket, than by the toys I place on there to be played with. They are so bright, colorful, and stay in one place, unlike other toys placed on the for play. This makes it great when they want something to do, once the toys have all been displaced from their original placement. The Whoozit Adventures Activity Book offers many activities for infants. Featuring bright, colorful pages, this book is made of cloth and offers a different activity on every page.
Our baby found it to be a lot of fun from the first time exploring it. The front cover offers a velcro attached surprise. When they remove the Whoozit from his spot, he rattles away at them. He is surrounded by black and white striped tied fine rope, that they enjoy grabbing onto, and chewing on. They are securely fastened, so we have had no concerns about them coming undone and causing problems. When you turn to page 2, you meet a flap covering Whoozit. On it, it reads PEEK A BOO. When they lift the flap they will see WHOOZIT fully. Across the page, there is a mirror that reads LOOK AT YOU. It is a 1/2 circle mirror, framed in yellow stitched edging and then offers orange satin and green fleece tied ribbon. Turn to page 4 and you find 4 flaps. Each flap opens from a different angle, to encourage development and exploration. When they lift the flaps they will find a smiling heart, a smiling star, a smiling worm, and Whoozit. Across the page you find a bunch of circles lined in black and white with colorful centers. Across the center of this page is a piece of black cloth, with a hole in the center of it. Peeking out is a face and it reads WHO IS HE? When you lift this flap you find WHOOZIT. Turn to page 6 and you see WHOOZIT and his friend the dancing smiling heart. On this page it reads PUSH THE SUN FOR LIGHTS AND FUN. Across the page is the sun, and when you push in the center it activates lights and sound, playing a soft fun tune for baby to enjoy. On the sun are fine ropes again, with ties on the end for easy grabbing. These are in yellow and pink. Our baby has enjoyed twiddling these back and forth as the music plays. The binding of the book has a nice carry handle and at the bottom of it are two plastic rings for more fun. Babies enjoy grabbing onto rings and making noise with them, when there is more than one. Another great use for these rings, is to hook it on to links which hook toys to the side of a carseat, stroller, etc. This will allow baby to play, without the worry of dropping the toy and getting it lost or dirty. if you need something to keep your baby busy when in the car, this will definitely do the trick! As you can see by all of the activities I have listed, this is a busy book. Any baby who engages in play with it, will also be very busy. | MOMMY MOMENT: If you have ever given a baby or toddler a paper book, you will understand the reasoning and importance of cloth and board books for young ones. I personally have no fascination with ripping paper. However, my two year old thinks this is the greatest pass time there ever was. We will wait to give her paper books until she is a little older. Until then only mom and dad handle them for story time, so they stay in one piece for when she is ready. |
