I have been one to use disposable diapers, because my perception was cloth diapering would be too much work. Pins that will not penetrate the material properly, rubber pants that leak and are not comfortable, etc. All of these dreaded thoughts made my choice of disposable diapers an easy one.
Until now. Having tried the Bummi Original and Bummi Cotton, I have now realized that cloth diapering is not what it used to be and will work for my baby and myself. No pins are needed and these covers are so much more comfortable than what I imagined and really simple to use. I have now decided to switch to cloth diapering for home use and use disposable diapers only when we are out and about. Bummi Cotton covers offer a perfect fit and I am impressed that I do not find leakage to be a problem, nor do I find indentations on my baby's legs because of the leg binding. The velcro closures on the Bummi Cotton Diaper Cover has a 3" panel, so adjusting to a perfect fit is simple. This perfect fit helps to ensure the coverage is perfect with no leakage problems. Inside they are lined with mesh, which helps for added dryness and adds airflow for more comfort. The binding on these is soft and stretchy, made of lycra. Now baby can be wrapped in a cover that keeps her clothes dry and have true comfort around the legs and tummy as well. Bummi Cottons offer sizes for all stages over 7 lbs, so baby is set up through the toddler age. I plan to use these throughout my baby's time in diapers. One thing I noted after using these Bummi Orginal & Cotton Covers for one week, is that my infant does not have as much diaper rash problems with using cloth over disposable. I am guessing this is because there are not the added chemicals one finds in a disposable diaper. This has been an added blessing I did not expect but have enjoyed discovering. The Bummi Cotton stands up well to normal laundering. I followed the directions, which ask that you do not use whitening agents or fabric softeners, but found neither was needed as they washed up perfectly without the use of them, even the ones that had gotten a little soiled from use. The Bummi Cotton Diaper Covers also work well as a swimsuit. They offer such beautiful prints that they work wonderful as both undergarments and fashion statements. Bummi suggests using a smaller size for use in the water, because you will not need to use a diaper for this. So, saving the previous size baby was in, once they move on to the next stage, will ensure you have both uses covered for the summer months. They do not suggest using this style for heavy wetters or nightime use, as continual heavy wetting may cause the moisture to soak in to the fabric. They offer other styles for using at night. For daytime use though, these offer full coverage protection you can trust. If this skeptic was as easy to sell on these as I was, you can rest assured you will be glad you tried them. They have proven to be a great product, and one I will enjoy continued use of. When using Diaperaps there is no need to purchase diaper pins, as the Diaperaps will hold the diaper firmly in place without using pins or other fasteners. Simply fold the prefold diaper as shown in their simple instructions (included) and secure with the velcro fasteners and your baby is all set. The soft elastic found in the leg gussets and back waist help prevent leaks and help to ensure fewer mishaps. These are snug fitting yet comfortable for baby, so while you are freed from wet clothing, you do not forfeit baby's comfort. The binding on these Diaperap Diaper Covers are very firm in place, which lets you know they will last and last. They are also made of comfortable material, which also helps to keep baby cozy in them. Fully machine washable and dryable. No extra care is needed for them. We do suggest not using bleach or whitening agents because these will eventually break down material and make for a less comfortable fit and shorter life span of the garment. I found the fasteners to be very easy to use and they hold firmly when fastened, so you are assured they will not come undone easily when in use. A great product, reasonably priced. This is a magnificent addition to any nursery, bathroom, laundry room, or bedroom. A low tone color, a sturdy wooden frame, a washable liner and beautiful design and color on the outside - makes this a wonderful addition that you will not want to "hide away" from view, as is the case with most laundry hampers.

The main feature of this hamper that I like so well, is the inner liner being washable. Now when I have items in there for washing, I am able to throw the liner in as well, in case it becomes a bit damp or just needs a fresh touch. You can also use this liner to place your specialty items in, for safer washing, because it is a mesh liner. Now you can place your lingerie items, nylons, etc. into the mesh bag and then place them all in the wash for gentle care. I also like the shape and size of this hamper. It is a perfect size to conveniently fit into most spaces without taking up a lot of room and being in the way. In smaller bedrooms and bathrooms, this is a huge asset. When it is empty, you can easily fold it up and stick it away, within easy reach when it is once again needed. The frame is lightweight yet sturdy and folds easily for storage or portability. When I first opened the package, I was impressed by the look and feel of SNAPPI's. They are so soft, thick, and contoured to shape babies body. They are also detailed with a nice touch, to make them an item you hate to cover. SNAPPI's come in many variations of colors. The main diaper is either white or unbleached, but the detail which surrounds them can be one of many colors you prefer. Then, use the SNAPPI Fasteners with them, which also come in the various matching colors, and it makes them a fashion statement for baby's bum. No, diapering is not beautiful. However, with SNAPPI's, mom will feel like baby is well dressed for any occasion, from top to 'bottom'. The SNAPPI Fastener is so easy to use. Hook it on the center portion of the diaper, then attach to each side. They hold securely, with no worries. This eliminates the need for using pins that can come undone, posing risk, or poke baby when being fastened through the diaper. Once you have tried the fasteners, you will never want to risk using a safety pin again to pin a diaper. Knowing they cannot come loose and poke your loved one is so comforting. SNAPPI Diapers are thick and absorbent. Cover them with your favorite diaper cover and baby is set to go. The diapers are made of high quality terrycloth, which makes them not only pliable and absorbent, but comfortable. They do not fit so tightly that they cause sweating of the skin, but are secure to hold whatever may occur between changes. When using cloth diapers, I always suggest using a liner.
