Now you can have free hands, while they are kept content, instead of them having to wait and cry until you are able to have the hands to get the job done. WHAT IS IT? A soft pillow/bib that holds a bottle or sippy cup and then fastens on baby like a bib, to hold the bottle or sippy cup in place. Easy to place on or remove, easy to use, and comfortable as well. WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS PRODUCT? Moms who need a helping hand at times when feeding baby. Have twins? Can't have enough hands for this task! A great product, bringing ease of use and assurance that baby will sleep soundly, warmly, comfortably, and safely when using the Breathe Safe Padded Sheet. I found the Munchskins Bum Bum Balm to have a very pleasant scent, a non greasy texture when applied to baby's bum, and I found it to be very effective in both preventing and healing diaper rash. Arriving in a small tin, you would almost think a sample of a product had arrived. This is prior to finding how far this balm goes, when applying it. It takes so little, to be effective, and applying a lot is just not needed. This is not a cream you apply, it is the texture of beeswax, and it applies a very thin layer of protection, by using just a very little. All natural products are used in the Munchskins Bum Bum Balm. There is no fear of dyes, and heavy perfumes causing baby more problems than help. This is one you can trust to be gentle and healing for baby's sensitive areas. When you want a natural product, this is one that has shown to be effective in both preventing and healing diaper rash, and will not stain clothing or cause a build up on baby's skins. Simply apply a small amount to your hand, and place it on baby's skin, and baby will be protected and comfortable. My husband found he had a hard time getting it out of the tin. This is because he was used to products which have a heavy cream to them. I then showed him that he really was getting out all he needed, it is just different than what he is accustom to. ... "Men!" The handy size container makes the Munchskins Bum Bum Balm easy to carry with you, anywhere you go. Even in a small purse, you will find room for this handy little tin. The Safety Crib / Toddler Sheet is the simple solution to the never - ending battle of putting the sheet on - putting the sheet on - putting the sheet on. I usually change the crib sheet once every two days, for laundering. However, I probably put a sheet on the crib about 3-4 times in a 24 hour span. Inevitably, I put it on - she takes it off. Either by pulling, or by simply tossing and turning during her sleep, and knocking it loose from one of the corners, and then it isn't long before the entire sheet is on top of her, not below her. With The Sweet Pea's Heirlooms Safety Sheet, it covers the entire mattress, top and bottom, and then snaps at the end. It works like a pillow case with a snap closure, so no part of the mattress is left exposed. Because the snaps are firmly in place, the sheet will not come undone, no matter how restless of a night she may have. This is a great solution to an age old problem. It is also so much safer than a standard crib sheet. When they come undone, baby can become entangled in them, and there is always the risk of suffocation or strangulation. If there is anything Janet (our boss) has impressed upon us reviewers, is the need to watch out for products that may lead to SIDS. It is nice when we are able to review the products that will decrease the risk so dramatically. BACKGROUND: Sweet Pea's Heirlooms began 6 years ago although, at the time, we didn't know it. Many know that infants and toddlers toss and tumble so much that their sheets come loose from their cribs, pack-n-plays, and even their toddler beds causing them to become entangled. Well, our little granddaughter, Hannah (nicknamed 'Sweet Pea') got tangled up in her sheets many times. It's a very scary feeling. Since our granddaughter, Hannah, was always getting tangled up in her sheets, there was a great need for a sheet that provided safety while she slept. Our daughter and I searched and searched, but could not find any type of crib sheet other than the standard 'fitted' one. It was our daughter that suggested I design a 'safety' crib sheet for Hannah. After many hours of planning, drawing, measuring, and sewing by trial and error, I finally designed a crib sheet that was easy to put on, yet difficult for Hannah to remove. Finally we could all rest assured that Hannah would now sleep safely. A few years passed without me making any more safety sheets since our granddaughter continued to use the one sheet I had previously designed. Then Hannah came for a visit and had to sleep in our old crib which we converted into a toddler bed. Well, wouldn't you know...she looked like a mummy in the morning...completely wrapped up in the standard fitted crib sheet (we didn't have another safety sheet to use). What a dilemma! We needed to make another safety sheet, but I didn't quite remember how I had designed the first one. So back to the drawing board I went. More measuring, drawing, sewing, ripping out seams; more drawing and sewing, over and over. Then, finally, I designed another safety sheet and this one was better than the first one. This time I had sketches and measurements and directions which I kept for future use. Then our daughter came up with a wonderful idea. "Mom", she said, "why don't you make more of these and sell them. If Hannah needs them, then there must be others that need them too!" That was the beginning of our safety crib sheets, and also our safety pack-n-play sheets which are the same design, only a smaller version. Just recently I have designed a safety toddler bed top sheet which fits nicely over the safety crib sheet, also a toddler bed bottom sheet. After finally developing the best design, obtaining my patent was my next challenge. Spending time with my attorney, supplying drawings and details, and of course, money, was just the beginning. There were many visits to my attorney and a lot more money. Then, I had to wait, and wait, and wait. All that waiting was very hard. Now, two years later, I finally have my patent, # 6,804,844 and realize it has all been worthwhile. Our biggest goal has been providing safety for infants & toddlers during sleep or play. We opened Sweet Pea's Hierlooms in July of 2002, and can only hope that many will use our product to provide safety to their infants & toddlers. WHAT IS IT? a necessity, when bathing an infant or child.
I was very suprised when I was reviewing this product. It was bath time for my infant, so I decided it was a good time to test it. I sat the water to what felt like a good temperature, and then placed SuperDuck in there for a test swim. The thermometer rose to over 102 and the alarm sounded. I had the water too hot. What felt normal to my hand, was actually 103.5 degrees, which is not recommended for bathing infants or small children. To maintain an even body temperature, the water should be at 99-102. I found the SuperDuck to be very easy to operate - you do not even need instructions to figure it out easily. Simply take him out of the package and begin using. As soon as he is off of his feet, he turns himself to ON mode. Once you are done using him, simply place him back on his feet *stand* and he will turn off. If you forget to place him back on his feet, he will turn himself to OFF mode in 30 minutes, to conserve on battery life. Highly recommended and easy to use! WHAT IS IT? The SuperDuck Digital Bath Thermometer looks like a toy ducky, that a child would play with in the bathtub. However, this is not a toy, and not recommended for play. It is an accurate thermometer, to gauge the temperature of an infant or child's bath water. Simply remove him from the stand (his feet) and he will instantly come on. Then place him in the bath water, and he will register the temperature. If it is too hot (102 degrees or above) the soft alarm will sound, alerting you that the water needs to be cooled down. WHAT IS IT USED FOR? To accurately gauge and adjust the temperature of bath water, to prevent overheating or scalding. FOOTNOTE: Advanced Monitors Corporation also produces accurate display thermometers for pets. Their products come highly recommended by veterinarians, and are used by both vets and consumers. We all love the sun, and being out in it. Of course our babies love it too!
We want to have them outside, enjoying the nice weather, seeing the butterflies,
hearing the frogs, seeing the clouds. But wait. What's that? Did I hear correctly
that when I have my baby outside, I am potentially setting them up for skin cancer
when they get older? How can this be, when I only have them outside for an hour or
so in the day?
Strong evidence shows that infants and young children, left unprotected in the sun, even for short periods have a much higher rate of skin cancer when they get older. Statistics also show an alarming rate of skin cancer in teens and young adults in the past decade, because of the sun exposure they have received as children. As good parents we always watch close when our children are near danger that we can see. We watch them ever so close when they are by water, or by a stairway. Yet, we whisk them outside for some time in the water, or for a walk, or to play in the park ... never thinking about the harm we are doing to them, that we cannot see. We must all become aware of the danger we are posing to our children, when we are simply trying to let them have fun. This is a real danger, not a made up one. Melanoma skin cancer is DEADLY! and is quickly becoming a major force in the cause of death among Americans. We must take this threat seriously. Simply putting a 15 rating skin lotion on them, will NOT do it. Children need a 50 protection rating from the sun and they need to use a product such as this one, to keep them safe. This swimwear can be used as a two piece short set, for all day play, or used in the water. It is comfortable, durable, and beautiful. While being a great fashion statement, it provides the very best in UV protection. Using their proven UPF 50+ polyamide fabric, it will withstand the elements, chlorine, and not break down in durability or protection. When you think sun - think safety! Get out that sunscreen and get out the UPF 50+ rated swim wear for the kids. They will thank you when they get old enough to realize how you ensured their safety. Right now they will only know enough to thank you for the cool looking clothes you bought them to play in! My daughter loved her Protect-A-Bub Swim wear. She strutted around looking all cute.
