These well made napmats are made IN the USA using materials FROM the USA.
This alone does my mind well, with so many problems today with imported products we use with our children.
Naps Mats, etc. offers products that are made with quality and comfort in mind and the outcome is a product that lasts and lasts, and stands up to things like weekly washings and daily use. 1-1/4" batting alone are used in these nap mats. This makes for a lot of added comfort most just do not offer. They offer many beautiful colors and designs and all of them have the pillowcase attached, a tri-fold design and are easy to not only use but also to carry with you and to keep clean. Washing our nap mat the first time brought the normal "uh-oh! hope it makes it" feeling... However, much to my delight, it came out looking as good as new - time and time again! These are highly recommended for at home use, daycare, overnights at the grandparents, traveling, etc. The convenience alone of having a ready made bed, is invaluable. Promoting the good things in life, such as friendship, kindness, manners,
citizenship, this cd is the mellower one of the three offered by The Blankies,
and is an easy listen for all ears. I enjoy it when the kids turn this one
on because the vocals are warm and rich, and the music is not overpowering, having almost a ballad sound at times.
This is a great cd to not only encourage the positive message it brings, but also to help children unwind at the close of the day. They pick up quickly on the words, and are soon singing along with The Blankies. The song my kids love best is Laugh. It is music mixed with laughter - no other words. However, this song gets my kids laughing much longer than the song lasts. I must say when my husband and I have walked in when it is on, the laughter is contagious and we end up all laughing, at a silly little song called laugh. This is great therapy! They say laughter is good for the soul, so this cd will definitely inspire a healthy soul. Great music - great theme - this is a great choice in children's music. With so many to choose from nowadays, it is nice when one like this comes along that truly encourages good behavior, as well as helps children to just calm down and enjoy some good music. This kit by See Me Read, LLC is terrific. The kit is a creative idea that will
spark enthusiasm in young, early readers, as they can easily and readily identify with the materials used, because it is fully customized by you, to feature them and objects from their world. By engaging them in a learning program that is totally personalized, you will see a faster response in the time it takes to see them actively reading the words they will experience. They are featured in their own learning program, in every facet and on every page, as desired. It is totally customizable and totally amazing. The system focuses on 24 customized words and each portion of the program uses and highlights those same 24 words.
There are two books - level one and level two. Book number one uses very basic words, and the only word that changes in the book is the word you select as your customized word (1 of the 24 I mentioned above). This customized word is highlighted, so it is easy to spot - and matches the photo displayed on the page, that you have supplied to match the word shown. For example, the one we have been sent for review is of Corey and the book is called Corey's Home. Inside there are 24 pages, to focus on those 24 words. Page one - shows Corey with his mom and the page reads "Corey's home has a Mom." Page four - shows Corey playing with toys and it reads "Corey's home has Toys." etc. This repetitive method makes it easy for children to also begin memorizing the other words on the page quickly and feel successful in reading. Book number two is a bit more advanced, but still in the early reader stage. This book does not have the repetition found in book one, but rather focuses on being more descriptive in what each photo shares. For instance: One of the pages shows Corey riding his bike. The page reads "Corey has a blue bike." Another page shows Corey with his hockey stick and reads "Corey's favorite toys include a hockey stick." The kit contains 24 laminated word flash cards. These cards are held together with a metal ring, so losing them is not a problem. These can be used indoors or outdoors, as they are protected with lamination. These word cards display the 24 customized words and photos. Using these cards together with the other portions of this kit will make learning the material easy and fast. A great game to use with this is detective. Carrying around the cards, a child has the task of finding the items displayed and then calling out the word when it is found. This makes the learning process a lot more fun, by making it not only a time of learning, but a time of playing. There are 24 word labels. These labels are used to place on the items portrayed on the cards, and in the books ... so the cross learning effect is implemented. This will enable the child to learn how to identify and recognize objects, using (and reading) the words for them, as they go about their regular routines at home. 24 hour access to learning adds a lot of interest and enthusiasm in children, as they can learn on their time, not ours. The kit also contains a writing / drawing pad. This pad is about the size of a calendar and has the matching photos / words from the books, word cards and labels. Each page has something for them to do, in the way of drawing and writing about the word / photo shown. This gives the kit a full balanced approach to learning with a hands on activity that allows for creative thinking, and will help to develop early writing skills. A parent's guide is also included, to give you tips on how to best use this program for the betterment of your child's education at an early age. This is a fun entrance into word recognition, reading and writing. Children from the age of 3 will be able to begin learning from this approach... and by age 4 will be able to use it to its fullest! I love the customized personalization, as this is so hard to find in educational products. Every child likes to be recognized and see themselves as a star and now they can benefit from this in a great way. The books use simple 60# paper with stapled binding, they are not of hardback quality but they are a great size and durable enough to handle the use they should get by children of this age range in an educational setting. The cards are laminated and a handy size for young children to use effectively. They will last a long time, as they are well made and kept together with the handy ring. The labels are a great size, and very durable plastic. The writing pad is comparable to a calendar quality and should work well for its intended purpose. This is a great kit that will be well liked by the young minds who get to experience it in a real life setting. Billy Bob and his new friends begin to explore the feelings and emotions experienced when facing this dilemma and the story unfolds into a celebration of positive social interaction and values. The story balances friendship, bullying, and the positive attributes of things like respect and communication. This story is great for at home or in the classroom. The book also has add-ons which may help you to refine the skills and lessons learned in this book. There is a read along version which includes a cd rom. There is a children's play available that follows the storyline of the book. There is a Teacher's Guide available as well.
